The human body possesses seven major energy centers known as Chakras. The chakras r not physical. These Chakras are metaphysical & located in the spine and are in close connection to the endocrine system and its glands. As a matter of fact, it is the Chakras that are responsible for correct functioning of the glandular system and for bringing all the crucial parts of the human microcosm in cooperation, therefore enabling normal physiological and psychological response. These chakras have colors similar to rainbow which clairvoyants can see .The colour, position & personality-characteristics of different chakras r as follows ----
7- SAHASTRAR CHAKRA-- colour-Voilet
This is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss.
6-AGYA CHAKRA -- colour- Indigo, Element-Light.
This chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye center. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us
5 - VISHUDDHI CHAKRA-- colour-Blue,Element-sound.
Creative identity, oriented to self-expressionThis is the chakra located in the throat and is thus related to communication and creativity. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language.

4-ANAHAT CHAKRA-- colour-Green,Element-Air.
This chakra is called the heart chakra and is the middle chakra in a system of seven. It is related to love and is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion, have a deep sense of peace and centeredness
3MANIPUR CHAKRA-- colour-yellow,Element-fire
This chakra is known as the power chakra, located in the solar plexus,is related to the element fire. It rules our personal power, will, and autonomy, as well as our metabolism. When healthy, this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, spontaneity, and non-dominating power.
2 SWADHISTHAN CHAKRA-- colour-Orange,Element-water
The second chakra, located in the abdomen, lower back, and sexual organs, is related to the element water, and to emotions and sexuality. It connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation, and movement. Ideally this chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change.
1MULADHAR CHAKRA--colour-Red,Element-earth
Located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. It represents the element earth, and is therefore related to our survival instincts, and to our sense of grounding and connection to our bodies and the physical plane. Ideally this chakra brings us health, prosperity, security, and dynamic presence.
The upper threee chakras are responsible for our spiritual growth and the lower three chakras are responsible for our material growth and the middle chakra i.e.HEART CHAKRA connects these two asspects.
FOR A HAPPY AND HEALTHY LIFE BALENCING OF THESE TWO ASSPECTS IS VERY NECESSARY.
One cannot grow spiritually unless he is satisfied materially. Each chakra (except crown ) has duality. One asspect of duality is responsible for our suffering and another asspect is responsible for empowering and growth.
HOW CHAKRAS AFFECT US?
When one (or more) of the chakra is blocked and the energy does not flow harmoniously through them, or it is wide open, it will result in imbalance that is manifested in all areas of life.
Each chakra is expressed on the physical body in one of the endocrine glands that regulate physical and emotional processes in the body. The imbalance in the chakra will also be expressed in the endocrine gland linked to it.
Remember, excess chakras need to let go, detach, and discharge the energy, or send it to another area. Deficient chakras need to take in, nourish, focus, and open.
